The Best Government Money Can Buy
In the service of selfish greed


We can all see that this ‘best government that money can buy’ has brought about the steady erosion of our democracy into the cesspool of unregulated corruption that it has become. This deliberately orchestrated, generations-long cultural celebration of selfishness and greed has intentionally obliterated the cultural social concept of the nation’s Common Good. Do we think that one man, however determined and sincere he might be, can turn this around by himself?

This culture of selfishness and greed has driven from the minds of all too many the natural human concern for the well being of others. This destructively anti-social culture of selfishness and greed has deliberately eroded the social consciousness of concern for the common well being of ALL. This culture of greed has very predictably wrought complete havoc on the General Welfare of the nation. The unbridled pursuit of narrow self-interest has largely obliterated the very concept of enlightened self-interest, the once well-perceived concept of the Common Good.

This culture that nurtures and elevates selfishness and greed, which has been deliberately promulgated by the powerful forces whose narrow interests it serves, has damaged the Common Good to such an extreme degree that we have arrived collectively at the point at which we are all threatened. Our socially sanctioned culture of greed has only brought all of us, social predators and their victims alike, to the very brink of widespread calamity and general ruin. Do we think that one man can stop the momentum that is pushing us toward this catastrophic precipice?
