Four out of Five American Citizens Agree About the Basic Problem
Our nation is in the clutches of 'special interests'


It has been widely reported for some years now that fully 80% of American citizens have come to believe that our nation is no longer a nation that reflects Lincoln’s inspiring hope that a nation "of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the Earth”. Fully 80% of us, four out of every five American citizens, from all walks of life, and from all corners of the so-called ‘political spectrum’, believe that our nation has fallen under the anti-democratic control of immensely powerful ‘special interests’.

This overwhelming majority of us can clearly see that these ‘special interests’ have not one iota of respect or concern for the General Welfare of the nation. They have no concern whatsoever for the Common Good of the nation’s citizens. These ‘special interests’ are motivated by their own greed, selfishness, and jealousy for wealth and power, and nothing else.

We can all see that our government has fallen under the influence of a vast network of legally sanctioned bribery, and four out of five of us fully well realize that our so-called ‘representatives’ no longer represent us at all, but rather represent the interests of those who donate money and influence to keep them in their offices of entrenched power. The general atmosphere of greed that has enveloped our nation has destroyed all sense of honesty or honor in elected officials. We can all see that those who swore a solemn oath to represent those who elected them, instead only represent those who can afford to grease their palms with ill-gotten generosity.
